Sunday afternoon concert: Neal Fitzpatrick

Neal will be playing a mix of original works for guitar along with a selection of timeless pieces from the classical guitar repertoire. 

The program will include works spanning three centuries, including music from the early 19th century to the present. Works by Napoléon Coste, Fernando Sor, Matteo Carcassi, Isaac Albéniz, Heitor Villa-Lobos, and more.

 

Neal Fitzpatrick, a Connecticut native, received his BM degree from the Hartt School-University of Hartford and his Masters degree from the Yale School of Music. He is an active soloist and chamber musician, and has performed at diverse venues such as Yale Art Gallery, Sprague Hall, Woolsey Hall with the New Haven Symphony, Aspen Music Festival, Bates Recital Hall at U.T. Austin and 92nd St. Y in New York City. He has been active in the public library music series for over 20 years. He teaches out of his studio in Branford,CT where he teaches all styles and levels of guitar. He also teaches banjo, mandolin, bass guitar and pretty much anything with strings and frets.
