JOURNEYS ON THE FABLED SILK ROAD with Alice Laurenson

 Alice Laurenson takes us on a journey along the fabled Silk Road of China, from the former Han and Tang dynasties capital of Xi’an to Kashgar’s teeming bazaar in western Xinjiang. 

Follow in the footsteps of traders on this ancient superhighway where, more than 2000 years ago, goods traveled between China and Rome, bringing the exchange of religions, languages, arts and ideas, creating cities of great ethnic and cultural diversity. 

 Alice Laurenson was a tour manager for 20 years, leading study tours to places all over the world, including China, Syria, Yemen and Mali.
