Bill Keane will discuss and share insights and information related to each of his images now on display in the WWML Gallery.
Bill Keane was born in Caracas, Venezuela, spending his formative years in New Jersey. After attending both the University of Miami and Drew University, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and an Master of Divinity (cum laude).
Ordained an American Baptist minister in 1983, Bill has served in Australia and Connecticut, presently at the First Baptist Church of Branford. He has made two appearances on ABC-TV's: "LIVE with Regis and Kathie Lee," and produced more than 100 public service and religious-based radio and television commercials airing on KISS 95.7-FM, XFINITY, 96.5TIC-FM, STAR 99.9-FM and WEBE 108-FM.
Following 9/11, Bill worked as an on-site chaplain at Ground Zero from October 2001 through June 2002, under the auspices of the Salvation Army. WTNH-TV News Channel 8 featured his images for a story about the tragedy and hope of 9/11. His images taken at Ground Zero are part of the 9/11 Memorial archive.
From September to October 2005, Bill worked in New Orleans as a chaplain with the US Department of Health and Human Services, recovering the remains of those who perished during Hurricane Katrina.
“Images & Incandescence” is a celebration of the play in Light, natural and otherwise, informing our visual landscape. With images infused into aluminum at 400 degrees, the full resolution ad saturation captured in the originals is archivally preserved intact.
