My work is the result of an intuitive process of combining color, shape and texture to compose arrangements that possess an imperfect order. I am not interested in duplicating photographic images of deteriorating structures. I can not even say that buildings are my inspiration. It would be more accurate to say that primitive shelters, aerial views, patchwork quilts have an appearance that attracts me, one that I try to capture on canvas.
